I'm going back to Bangkok tomorrow, but I'll probably be back soon.
I walked past Fort Canning this afternoon on the way to check out Clarke Quay. About 20 years ago I went to Sentosa and saw the museum there.

Cheesy: if it's raining in Singapore and you are all shopped out, I recommend visiting the underground WW2 bunker Battlebox, where there's an exhibition with an interesting guided tour about the infamous surrender to the Japanese. You realise that there seemed to be little choice at the time, if only to save the civilian population, but had the military known what would happen to them as POWs they probably would have fought on.

If I spot any 14 deaf street walkers, I'll make sure you are first to know.

I'm at Bangkok airport now, about to fly to Singapore. Hopefully the promised rains can wait until I get to the hotel.

Re: Singapore and Bali
Cambodia is probably the only place in the region where you would need USD. And you get it from ATMs.

Just assumed they would prefer dollars

It's a 3 phase trip, Singapore, cruise for 5 days and 6 days in Bali, just trying to think the best solution for money

Was there in the mid 90s so probably changed a bit.
Hire a car
Hire a motorbike
Try surfing
Eat at busy restaurants
Beware of stray dogs
Haggle
Enjoy.
